Life Happens…..

Life happens, doesn’t? Well it has for me, at least….I started this blog well over a year ago, but shortly thereafter, my story took an unexpected turn. And then a few months ago, things had started to calm done a little bit, and I thought I’d have some time to write…but not so much.

My summer combination of a youth ministry and preaching internship with a full (albeit online) course load kept me from doing much writing at all. And now, I am getting back into the swing of things at school, for my final quarter. Writing time will be almost certainly be nonexistent. I’m taking 25(!) credit hours (including upper-level Greek), actively involved in leadership for two campus ministries, involved with three (including my home) churches, preaching at least five times at various places this quarter, reconnecting with old friends while making new ones, applying for grad school (Rochester College), reading a stack of books that just seems to keep growing (I bought 5 yesterday), looking for my first full-time ministry position, trying to prepare for that ministry, getting back in shape, and beginning the wedding-planing process. But I still want to make a point to do a little bit of writing, for my own sake.

I may adopt Mitchell Powell‘s approach of tweet-like posts at times, but we’ll see. I do know that time for proof reading will be scarce, so I apologize for the multiplicity of typos and poorly worded sentences that are sure to abound!

So even though life happens, I want to make sure this blog happens too. We’ll see how that goes!

Grace and peace,

Thanks for the shout-out. I live to prove the fact that tweeting does not require Twitter(tm).
